Ampersand Distilling Co. is a family-operated distillery located in the Cowichan Valley. The distillery uses B.C. grown wheat and natural spring water sourced from the organic farm in which it stands to make their award-winning spirits. In their repertoire includes gin, vodka, dry vermouth and a green walnut liqueur.

Now, Ampersand is focusing their efforts not on creating spirits, but on creating alcohol hand sanitizer for the community. To date, they have donated bulk alcohol sanitizer to their community as well as first-responders, doctors and nurses as well as essential service workers, shelters and food banks. They’ve now produced almost 1,000 litres of sanitizer for the Vancouver Island community and are hoping to extend and send sanitizer to the Vancouver Mainland.
