RBC GranFondo Whistler offering a full summer of free bike training programs

Fondo Clinics by Trek being posted online with the usual sign-up fees waived for 2020

With the season’s granfondos and charity rides cancelled, now is a the time for cyclists to reset their summer plans with new goals and new challenges to motivate and inspire their riding.

To give this process a boost, RBC GranFondo Whistler is releasing a full year’s worth of training plans to help riders choose and achieve a personal goal, whether it’s setting a PR on a local climb, boosting their power output, or completing an epic route taking in some of the beautiful scenery in British Columbia.

Each year, the RBC GranFondo hosts the Fondo Clinics presented by Trek, a series of 12-week programs designed to guide rides through the steps and progression to make their ride to Whistler a success. With no in-person clinics possible, this year RBC GranFondo Whistler is releasing these programs as a free download beginning June 8th, waiving the usual $275 entry fee. Even better, the plans are available free to cyclists everywhere, not just in BC!

The programs are available in beginner, intermediate or advanced options, and the experts at SportMedBC—creators of the successful Vancouver SunRun InTraining program—will be supplementing the program with free optional weekly email from June 15th to August 31st, packed with tips, guidance, coach advice, and more to help participants stay on track.
